My gorgeous Turkish Angora girl Reyhan is no stranger to communication with Christina, receiving and delivering messages at critical life moments.
A warm friendship is enjoyed by both and it is a marvel and delight to participate in these conversations! An exceptionally emotional cat, Reyhan feels deeply any disturbance in her environment or personal equilibrium often manifesting in physical ailments.
Christina has been my trusted source to restore her to balance for almost a decade. The most recent occasion was the most powerful lesson in love and self belief! Compassionately devoted to her elderly feline sister Oohnah, Reyhan had embraced a role of caring protector, with perhaps little idea of the physical and emotional toll this would create for herself as Oohnah slowly declined.
Reyhan dutifully and respectfully supported Oohnah over many months until her peaceful death. She seemed to accept Oohnah’s passing but the stress and inevitable grief of such an enormous loss developed gradually into a small (painless but annoying!) tear duct cyst that the vet suggested would require a battery of specialist appointments and eventually dangerous surgery, that may not even be successful.
With little to lose and knowing Reyhan’s personality and her propensity for intense feelings to manifest tangibly, I wondered if there could be a psychological solution to her problem. Christina was summoned! Over the next few months we implemented a course of action together involving music, meditations and a series of very effective affirmations expressing a belief in Reyhan and her ability to heal herself.
Christina’s understanding support was instrumental and unwavering during this time. I (hopefully!) hid my cynicism but was amazed as over the next few weeks the eye magically began to heal! With more time as Reyhan’s grief dissipated and she grew stronger in her new role as beloved only child with opportunity now for her own pursuits once more (bird watching, sunbathing and ruling her garden kingdom), and proud that she had done all she could for her adored sister, released, like a miracle her eye completely healed. It was INCREDIBLE and such a relief! I am a believer. I believe in Reyhan, I believe in Christina and their combined forces have proven that given the chance a deep healing of the spirit can renew the body when love, trust and understanding is the motivation. I am deeply moved and appreciative to have witnessed firsthand this little miracle of transformation. My beautiful Reyhan is now restored in both body and mind.
